For musicians, bands, DJs, MCs, dancers, kids entertainers, face painters, workshop hosts and anyone who performs at markets, festivals and events.

Before you start
- A Market Hive SA account, and you are logged in
- A good photo of you performing
- A link to a video, or your Spotify, YouTube or Apple Music page
- Optional: your technical rider as a PDF
Step 1: Open the form and choose Entertainment
On your dashboard click + Create a listing, then click Entertainment so it is highlighted in gold.
Experiences count too
Step 2: Business details
Your name is your act name, the one on the poster. The description should tell an organiser what happens when you turn up: what you play, how long, how loud, and what kind of crowd it suits.
Step 3: Performer details
Travel areas is the field that gets acts booked. An organiser in another town will not even enquire unless you have said you travel there. If you will travel for the right fee, say so.
Step 4: What do you perform?
- Performance categories - grouped by kind of act: live music, DJs, hosts and MCs, dance, children's entertainment, experiences and demonstrations, and more.
- Music genres - if you are a musical act. Organisers who set an entertainment budget and a style on their market are matched against exactly this.

Step 5: Performance
- Set length and duration - how long you play and how many sets.
- Number of performers - a five-piece band and a solo guitarist are different bookings entirely.
- Equipment supplied - whether you bring your own sound. Organisers with no PA filter hard on this.
- Public liability insurance - some venues and councils will not allow an act without it.
- Price band - a range, not an exact fee. It stops enquiries that were never going to work.
- Previous events and testimonials - your track record. Name the actual markets and festivals.
- Availability - weekends, weekdays, evenings.
Step 6: Media and promotion
An organiser will not book an act they have not heard. Put at least one link in here, even if it is a phone video of a live set. A rough real recording beats a polished nothing.
- Video link - YouTube or Vimeo.
- Spotify, YouTube and Apple Music - your artist pages.
- Technical rider - a PDF of your power, stage and sound requirements.

Step 7: Images, agreements and submit
Add a main image, up to ten gallery photos, tick the five compulsory agreements and click Submit application. If you picked a plan on the Hive Memberships page first, you go straight to checkout to finish joining. Otherwise you land on your dashboard, where the listing shows as pending until a person has checked it.
Step 8: How organisers find you
Once you are live, two things happen. You appear in the entertainment directory where anyone can browse and filter. And you enter the matching pool: organisers who asked for recommendations see acts suited to their province, budget and style on their own dashboard, with the reasons each one matched.
Matching is not something you pay for
Your dashboard shows each act with its own view counts and an Edit profile button.
